Malawi survivors vow not to go SA again

Malawians who survived the Mozambique shooting incident have vowed not to travel to other countries again in search for greener pasture.

Speaking at Mwanza boarder on Thursday during the arrival of four bodies of people killed in Mozambique, one survivor (name withheld) said the trip has put an end to his desire to travel to South Africa.

mozambique-elections-2014The survivor further said that he would rather wish to die in the hands of poor but peaceful mother Malawi than seeking jobs across borders.

The bodies of the four Malawians have since been taken from Mwanza border to their respective villages in Blantyre and Mangochi for proper burial.

Meanwhile Malawi government through Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Francis Kasaila has warned Malawians travelling to South Africa to avoid using the Tete Province route, saying it is highly insecure following the renewed fighting between the Mozambique Liberation Front (Frelimo) and Mozambique National Resistance (Renamo).

The people of Mozambique know that malawi is a peaceful war free country and they are jelous..the way i see it,they are trying to draw us into a fight/war..am sure they expected millitary retaliation on this and am sure they’ll do it again…but i wonder how our leader is handling this because most of the at hand options have big negatives…retaliating will mean war and an economy disaster which will take decades to bring it back to its present state…and keeping quite while our brothers are being slaughtered is one hell of a mistake….i just hope our leader will think deep on this and handle it well… God bless Malawi

Mozambicans are coming to Malawi without pasports but Malawian Soldiers does not kill them.There is millions of Mozambicans in Malawi and Malawi is under pressure because of overflocking of Mozambicans to Malawi but no was reportedly been killed by our soldiers.If mozambique does not want any communication with us they must tell us.However,its high time that mozambique has been treating Malawi and Malawians badly since Samola mashel was alive.In this case,Malawi government must not just keep quite on this nonsense,we need to take a touph and serious action against Mozambicans and mozambique because they are taking things for granted and we are not afraid of them since they are nothing to us.Our people were having no weapons why killing them?.If they suspected them of doing bad things why not arresting?.We really, really really need answers from them otherwise trouble.U can’t kill a person like a dog its aganst our nature.

    1. It is not the Government to be blamed because even in South Government does not employ foreigners so the problem is them people because of wanting simple jobs not developmental in their families.Government work is to provide peaceful environment for people to produce

Listen very attentively, as am speaking now I finish all my education and I have tried to make post in government jobs but until now i running over 5 years no any best result back to me, so tell me should I stay in Malawi for over that years without anything profitable to me?? That’s y I suggested my self to walk out of my peacefull country to get work abroad. Its true that South Government can’t employ Foreigners but we feel better I work after a month I get pay rather than I could just stay home for long but no any benefit.

This is very bad.malawians have been always victimised in mozambique by immigration and police officer.thungs in the border like yamapanda but always mozambique officer backs there thungs those change currency on black markets.secondly u need to pay them money for them to stamp your passport and when you argue they say we wamangiwa.touching there flag u are in for it.please malawi /mozambique goverment make joint international escourt for traveller like in the past to shame this devils.and in malawi u give the mozambiquies safe heaven why not our people there in mozambiquie otherwise we will take the law in our hands
