Bullets vow to defend Super League

Nyasa Big Bullets say they are confident they will defend the TNM Super League championship this season.

Speaking to the local press, Big Bullets technical director Billy Tewesa said the team is geared to defend the title.

Tewesa further assured that the People’s Team will not embarrass its supporters by losing the 2016 Super League title.

“During our first game our supporters were not happy with the results, but we will ensure that we will not happen again, we will do our best to defend the championship this season,” said Tewesa.

In 2015, Bullets were crowned champions of the league for the 13th time after defeating Civo Unied at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe.

During the first week of the 2016 Super League season, they drew against Moyale Barracks at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.

Last weekend, the Peoples team beat Red Lions 2-1 at Balaka Stadium with goals from Muhammad Sulumba and Nikiza Aimable.

The team will meet rivals Mighty Be Forward Wanderers at Kamuzu Stadium during the weekend of the third week of the Super League season.
