Malawi’s elegant female artist, Zani Challe, has promised to give it her all in a mission to promote Malawi after taking a giant step in the fight for the cause last week having collaborated with Nigeria’s dancehall king.
The Malawian lady shines with Patoranking in a track entitled “single for tonight” which was produced in Nigeria by Ekelly.
It had to take only a few days before major media platforms in the continent started airing the masterpiece. In the hit, Zani cannot just seem to hide her identity as she makes it crystal clear that she comes from Malawi. The use of Chichewa language in the chorus, exposes her identity further.
She sings, “Ndachokera kutali ku Malawi, kwathu ku Malawi.”
In an interview with Malawi24 Upclose on Friday, Zani said that Malawi has music talent in abundance with some yet to be unearthed.
She said, she will play her part, just like other artists striving to put the warm heart of Africa on the map.
“I am really proud, I feel Malawi is a great country with so much to offer. I will therefore keep pushing to have our country known to other parts of the world,” said Zani.
The Ndiphunzitse hit-maker advises Malawi artists to keep pushing with maximum efforts because one day they will see the dawn of a brighter day.
The South African based musician is making it big in the rainbow nation with the potential of taking the continent by storm sooner than later.
She is the third artist from the motherland to collaborate with a top Nigerian artist, following in the footsteps of Dan Lu, and Tay Grin.
The former worked with Kcee on a song titled sweet banana while the latter combined efforts with the award winning 2Face Idibia in Chipapapa.
Being the only female artist who has been involved in a major international collaboration, Zani gives the much needed inspiration to Malawian young ladies.
In this respect, young ladies are likely to follow in her footsteps and make a change in the country.
