Young people in the country have been urged to be dedicated in performing church activities as this what God expects from them.
Speaking during a Christian Youth Fellowship (CYF) conference held at CCAP of the Livingstonia Synod, presiding Pastor Rev. Timothy Nyirenda said youth are backbone of the church hence they have to show leadership skills by dedicating themselves in doing the work of God.
Nyirenda further said young people should be empowered in spiritual matters since some people with false doctrines are also tying to entice them with a lot of worldly things.
He then urged the youth to flee from earthly desires in order to inherit the Kingdom of God.
In her remarks, Matron for St Paul CCAP Eliza Mvula said many young people are not aware of many things that happens in their life cycles that is why the conference was organised to impart them with knowledge that will assist them even if they get married.
One of the participants Bestina Tulinawe Mushani commended the leadership of St Paul CYF for organising such an event that has assisted many young people on how they live as youth who will please God in their daily activities.
Some of the topics covered were empowering youth on spiritual forces, sanitation, and personal glooming.
About 80 young people attended the conference.
