A man at Nanthoka in Machinjiri Township last week committed suicide in his house.
According to Assistant Public Relations Officer for Limbe police Widson Nhlane, the deceased has been identified as Alick Zingalu.
Nhlane said the man was staying alone in his house but last week his neighbours did not see him for days and they got suspicious.
They decided to break into the house and when they opened, they found Zingalu hanging to the roof of his house while his body was in a decomposed state.
According to Nhlane, the matter was reported to police and post-mortem results showed that Zingalu died due to strangulation.
Zingalu was from Matale Village, T/A Phambala in Ntcheu district.
