A Malawian cyclist will cycle for over 2000 kilometres across the country to raise K3 million for veterans of Second World War.
The cyclist, Kennedy Masauko Banda, said he will make the gesture to help the soldiers who are living in poor conditions.
Speaking to the local press, Banda said he wants to use his cycling skills to touch the souls of war veterans who are going through economic hiccups.
“The purpose of my cycling is to raise money to help war veterans in the country and I hope I will make it, so far I have K350,000 to add up to the targeted amount,” said Banda.
He then pleaded to local companies to help in complementing the gesture of supporting the world war soldiers.
Banda was also among the African cyclists who cycled from Tanzania to Zambia in a climate change campaign.
