The Super League of Malawi (Sulom) has said it will pay for Airborne Rangers, Wizards, and Dedza Young Soccer’s expenses during the playoffs which are set to continue on a yet to be announced date.

Dedza (In red) loses appeal.
Dedza (In red) will play in the playoffs.

This follows a meeting which Sulom appeals committee was hearing Dedza Young Soccer’s grievances as demanded by Lilongwe High Court Judge Charles     Mkandawire last week.

The appeals committee said that Sulom made a correct decision to have the playoffs to determine the 16th team that will play in next season’s Malawi elite league and has told Sulom to continue with the playoffs.

The committee chaired by Davis Sado further said that the result between Airborne Rangers and Wizards should still stand and they will continue the playoffs by including Dedza Young soccer.

The result will not be affected since Dedza Young Soccer issued the injunction for stopping the playoffs to Sulom after the match involving Wizards and Airborne Rangers which Wizards won 2-1.

The committee further said Dedza should vacate the court order which they obtained last month so that the playoffs should continue.
