A man in Nkhotakota district has murdered his uncle who wanted to collect a K200 debt from him.
According to a witness, the deceased Noah Phiri, 63, went to the house of the suspect, Maxwell Mtenje to ask for his money back.
While at the house disagreements erupted and the suspect hit the deceased who fell down unconscious.
Phiri was taken to Nkhotakota District Hospital where he was admitted and he later died.
The incident was then reported to Nkhotakota Police Station. Police in the district have since launched a manhunt for the suspect.
The deceased hailed from Chiboko village, Traditional Authority Mphonde in Nkhotakota district.
