The Ntcheu first grade magistrate has sentenced two wicked men to 14 years imprisonment with hard labour for raping a 12 year-old girl.
The court heard that Thomson Dzonzi, 25, and Chimwemwe Lomawo, 21 raped the Standard 3 learner on 26 February this year.
According to police prosecutor, Amos Jobo, the two perverts sexually abused the young girl while she was going to her cousin’s house where she expected to spend the night.
Jobo asked the court to give the two beasts a stiff punishment considering the trauma the young girl went through and the fact that the act was inhuman.
In mitigation the rapists asked for leniency saying that they are first offenders and they have to look after their family.
In his ruling, Ntcheu first grade magistrate Jones Masaula quashed the rapists’ mitigation saying that defiling is contrary to section 132 of the penal code.
He then sentenced the two vile men to 14 years imprisonment each.
