Malawi international Harry Nyirenda has been declared fit to play against Guinea in Friday’s AFCON 2017 qualifier.
Nyirenda suffered a knock during Malawi’s friendly match against Sierra Leone on Tuesday 22 March but he is now available for selection for tomorrow’s game at 29 September Stadium in Guinea.

The coming of Nyirenda will be a boost to the Flames squad as they have to win if they are to keep alive their dream of qualifying for next year’s continental showpiece.
Both Malawi and Guinea started their opening qualification matches on a very poor note, with Malawi losing 2-1 to Zimbabwe at home before being held to a 2-all draw away to Swaziland while Guinea lost 2-1 to Swaziland at home before playing to a 1-all draw away to Zimbabwe last year.
In other group L matches, leaders Swaziland will play host to Zimbabwe in a top of the table clash before a return leg over the weekend.
The winner in the group will automatically qualify for Gabon while the second placed team will also have a chance if it emerges as one of the best losers.
The last time Malawi appeared at the African continental showpiece was in 2010 in Angola.
