Salanje condemns APM’s speech on TB Joshua

The flamboyant Malawian man of God Hastings Salanje has faulted the President Peter Mutharika’s outburst against the Nigerian prophet TB Joshua.

Salanje, who is the founder and pastor of God’s Chapel International, said Mutharika’s insults aimed at TB Joshua were the work of the devil to attack Malawi.

He praised Joshua as the only favoured man of God worldwide and says he does not know another prophet from God who is greater and straight like him. Salanje added that it is worrisome to insult Joshua. “I want to believe that the president spoke that at his capacity and not as a person and not as a president of Malawi. But him being a leader of a country I want to believe that whatever he says covers a country.

“Therefore I choose to take this stand and disassociate myself, my family, my church and my country that we are not part of the speech which he made on the prophet,” said Salanje.

The pastor asked God to bless Malawi and TB Joshua, saying he has disconnected himself from the curse that can come after insulting a man of God like Joshua.

Mutharika attacked the prophet for a prophecy he made that one of the presidents in Africa will die even though the Nigerian did not mention the name of the president.

This did not go well with the president who said Joshua did the same to his brother Bingu wa Mutharika.
