Ahead of the top flight league which is set to commence next month, Lilongwe based football club Epac have hired Audrey Makonyola as their new coach.
The team’s general secretary Chiyembekezo Lita said Makonyola, who is at Epac for a second stint, will replace Abbas Makawa who dumped the team due to contractual disagreements.
“Yaah that’s true, we have signed the coach on a one year contract. He is not that all new to the Epac family, he was once a coach and he knows the team well,” said Lita.
He praised the coach saying Makonyola is one of the qualified coaches in the country right now and added that he has all the papers enabling him to coach in the top flight league.
However, Lita said he cannot disclose names of players who are expected to join Epac since other clubs can hijack them.
