New kid on the block: Junke rises with a hit

It is an open secret that after Gwamba’s switch to gospel, it has not taken long for him to be replaced, another Lilongwe based upcoming artist, Junke has stepped in his shoes with his hard hitting unique style.

His latest song titled “Wekha” has brought him into the limelight. He showcases great skill in the genre and beyond reasonable doubt he was called to do hip-hop.

The record breaking song is now in the top ten of urban music chart, just two days after being made available to the local media outlets.

The song features Cassim Ibrahim, a Ntcheu based gospel singer whose golden voice has done a great deal of magic to the work of art. He has spiced the song to the best of his ability, until his vocals could no longer allow.

In an interview with Malawi24, Ibrahim said the song was artistically produced by Zupa B whose studio is located in Mtsiriza.

He added that this is just a preamble as more Junke collaborations with major artists are coming. “Wekha” is all about a boyfriend who is giving a word of assurance to his girlfriend that despite all negative comments from people, he will cling to her.

The power of love has been emphasized in this masterpiece that it lures one to download the hit if they are not to be left outside the box of love.
