Mighty Wanderers supporters will have to wait days longer to know the final squad that will represent the club in the Super League next season, as it has been revealed that the team will only release players after assessing them in a match.

Nomads head coach Jack Chamangwana said that he will not be booting out some of the players this week as planned.

Nomads players: some of them will be released

“I will not be releasing some of the clubs players this week but I will release them next week because I have to assess the players during a game not only training and that assessment will come this Sunday as we are playing Wizards,” said Chamangwana

Speaking about the five players who are with the national team, Chamangwana said the players will not be facing the chop since they are good players and that is why they were selected into the National team.

“Those that are with the national team will be exempted because for them

to be considered for national team, it means that they are good.

“So, those that are training will compete for the 25 available places,” he said.

The five players who are with Malawi national team are defenders Stanley Sanudi and Francis Mulimbika; midfielders Ernest Tambe and Isaac Kaliati; and striker Jabulani Linje.

The Nomads will tomorrow face Peter Mponda’s Wizards in a friendly game that will be played at Kamuzu stadium.
