Police in Kasungu have arrested 24 year-old Adam Kaisi for raping a 13 year-old mentally ill girl.
According to police, the victim was on her way to see her grandmother, who lives within their village, when she met Kaisi. 
Upon seeing her, the rapist threatened the girl that he would deal with her because she had been spurning his advances for a long period of time.
The girl started to run away but the wicked man went after her until he caught her. He tied the girl onto a tree with a rope before raping her.
Police nabbed the rapist and he will soon appear before court to answer the charge of defilement which is contrary to Section 138 of the Penal Code.
Kaisi comes from Chisazima village, in the area of Senior Chief Kaomba in Kasungu district.
