Kukoma Diamonds and Complex Tigresses are now  battling it out in the finals of the presidential Initiative of sports 2015/16 Netball National Finals at Blantyre Youth centre on Friday afternoon.

To reach the finals, Kukoma Diamonds saw off Thunder Queens while Complex Tigresses beat Civonets. The losing sides, Civonets and Thunder Queens, will battle it out for the 4th and 3rd place in an early kick off match this afternoon.

On Friday, the first netball semi-final match was between Civonets and Complex Tigresses and it was a very entertaining match as both Civonets and Tigresses displayed an excellent performance in the first two quarters of the match as the first quarter ended with both teams tied up on 12 baskets whereas the second quarter ended by 21-22 baskets in favour of Tigresses.

Come the last two quarters of the game, Complex Tigresses started dominating the proceedings of the match as they were displaying awesome netballing skill and exchanging good passes.

In the end, the Blantyre based side knocked Civonets out of the presidential netball cup by 47-34 baskets.

After the game, Complex Tigresses coach thanked God for the massive win and added that they are eyeing to defend the cup they won last year at Katoto multi-purpose court in Mzuzu. The game between Thunder Queens and Kukoma Diamonds started on a higher note but it was Kukoma Diamonds who started dominating the match as they made Thunder to dance to their tune.

Kukoma Diamonds led in all the quarters of the match but Thunder Queens displayed a spirited performance and Joana Kachilika was solid in the Queens defence as she was making some crucial interceptions against a tough Kukoma Diamonds side and the game ended by 42-23 in favour of Kukoma Diamonds.

After the game Griffin Sayenda junior thanked his girls for the win and also said he will be looking for another win when his girls will be meeting Complex Tigresses in the finals.
