Chiukepo Msowoya: Out to try his luck.

Chiukepo Msowoya has flown out to the rainbow nation on Saturday morning where he is expected to spend some days at Celtic and if all goes well, he will replace fellow country man Gabadinho Mhango who refused to extend his stay at the club and eventually went on to sign a pre-contract with Bidvest Wits.

According to Msowoya’s manager Billy Tewesa, the hit man will spend three days at Phunya Selesele. “He has been invited to attend trials at Bloemfontein Celtic for three days. We will hear from them after the trial period is over,” said Tewesa.

Celtic team manager John Maduka confirmed the development saying they have been monitoring the forward in the just ended league season.

“We have been monitoring him in the just ended league season where he scored 14 goals and we have decided to give him a chance to trial with us and if he succeeds, we will start processing his transfer from Big Bullets,” confirmed Maduka.

Before Celtic, Wits and Mpumalanga Black Aces were also interested in his services but with Wits signing Mhango, it was very unlikely for the former Orlando Pirates, Escom United and Platinum Stars striker to join the Johhanesburg based side.

If he succeed at Cetic during the trials, it will be his second time for him to play in the PSL following unsuccesful season with Pirates and Stars sometime back.
