Two netted for stealing from a Burundian national

Malawi police in Limbe have arrested two men for robbing a Burundian businessman in Bangwe Township.

According to assistant public relations officer for Limbe police station, Widson Nhlane, the criminals attacked the businessman and stole a Vanette minibus, 87 bags of maize flour weighing 25Kg each, and cash.

”We have identified the suspects as Yusuf Raphael aged 31 and Charles Chilimango aged 44 who connived and robbed the Burundian businessman,” said Nhlane.

He further said that police recovered the minibus and 85 bags of maize flour.

Nhlane also urged Malawians to continue tipping the police whenever they suspect criminals in their areas.

Raphael hails from Mawa village T/A Kadewere in Chiradzulu district and Chilimango hails from Balason village T/A Nkalo in the same district.

The two will appear before court soon to answer charges of robbery with violence.
