Malawi’s Mzuzu based hip-hop icon Khwima Moyo who is popularly celebrated in the music arena as K-man has sided with Mnthuzi hit maker Piksy in trashing the tendency of some self-acclaimed prophets to concentrate on attracting people with miracle money and not preaching about eternity.

He told Malawi24 recently that he has learnt with great concern that even some of his fellow celebrities are flocking to such prophets of gold who he described as fake.

He emphasized that receiving miracle money is nothing but what matters is the eternal life hence he becomes very shocked to learn that some of the well cherished local celebrities are being attracted to join such prophets who are only misleading people.

“Some are becoming born again because such prophets have promised them miracle money. To me that is now going astray. As a normal person you can’t be carried away with such worthless miracle money,” he said. K-man was born in a Christian family and is a Church of Central African Presbyterian (CCAP) member at Mchengautuwa congregation.

He went on to lament the tendency of some believers who are also easily carried away with questionable miracles saying some are not from God.

“In the name of Jesus I entreat God to help us so that such fake prophets must not accomplish their wishes of bringing destruction in our beloved country Malawi,” he added.

Some months ago Piksy was involved in a battle of words with gospel artist Onesimus because of his Mnthuzi hit which among others trash prophets who are encouraging their followers to believe in miracle money and stop working hard.

To Piksy, such kind of preaching is somehow contrary to the scriptures in the bible which encourages people to work hard to find their needs because there will never be sweet without sweat.

But Onesimus, a follower of Prophet Sheperd Bushiri who also preaches of miracle money, described Piksy as a lost son who need to repent and stop following the evils of this world.

As if that was not enough, he also recorded his own song “letter” which among others tried to defend the tendency of praising miracle money and encouraged Piksy to repent. Onesimus recently recorded a song titled “miracle money” in which he admitted that miracle money is good.

On New Year’s Eve, another Malawian celebrated hip-hop star Gwamba announced that he will no longer sing secular songs because this time he will use his talent to preach the word of God.

Some entertainment fanatics suggested that his decision was also influenced by miracle money because he is an in-law to Prophet Bushiri.

Meanwhile, K-man has announced that he is now working on a gospel song in which he will feature Akhristu Mchichewa hit maker, F-kiz.
