Gerald Phiri Jnr: Feeling the storm.

Barely a month after Malawi24 reported that South African club Bidvest Wits were about to release talented Malawian player, Gerald Phiri Jnr, it has now been confirmed that the club have let him go.

Phiri, who has been unregistered at Bidvest Wits since the South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) commenced, has been waiting for a work permit to start showing his soccer skills for the South African side.

According to information that Malawi24 has, Bidvest have registered and signed English Striker, James Keene, as their fifth and final foreign player since each PSL team is allowed to register only five foreign players.

Keene used to play for Portsmouth of England in the English Premier League (EPL) before the club was relegated to the lower league.
