Max Bullets gets Super league promotion

Chiradzulu based outfit, Max Bullets FC, have became the first team to be promoted into Malawi’s top flight league after being declared 2015 Champions of Sejjere Southern Region Football Association League (SRFAL).

Max beat Prison United 1-0 on Saturday afternoon at their own backyard, Sedi ground, in Chiradzulu district to emerge the winners.

According to SRFAL general secretary, Kingsly Simbeye, though Max Bullets have three games to wrap up the season but are the champions since no other team can reach number of points they have. ” Max Bullets are this years premier division Champions and have 88 points of which the team behind its maximum points are 86,” said Simbeye.

On Second position there came Zomba based Soldiers, Cobbe Barracks FC, who have been contenders since the first five matches and have 74 points with four games to wind up the season.

While the Champions have 88 points from 37 matches and have only three matches to start preparations for the top flight.

By Frday, Max Bullets had needed only 3 points to get promoted to the Super League.

 

In the Central Region Football Association League, Dwangwa United only need 4 points in their remaining two fixtures to earn promotion to the Super League.
