The count down to Malawi’s flagship music talent show, E-wallet grand finale is getting exciting with only six contestants remaining after the numbers were reduced last Saturday in a second eviction show.

The music talent exhibition premiered on 24th October with 12 contestants.

The first eviction show was held on 7th November when Annie Kapanda, Ernest Masi, Mwai Matiti and Shadreck Amos failed the test and got evicted.

During the latest eviction show, two contestants, Khumbo Desire Manda and Rita Kalonga, lost the chance of owning a car having been shown the exit door.

Their elimination came about after receiving less number of votes.

In an interview with Malawi24 today, E-wallet talent show coordinator Anthony Kafuwa said the six remaining artists are Shanice Tandwe, Kennedy Burton, Sigele Akimu, Kelvin Zalimba, Eunice Mhango and Jeremiah Chikhwaza.

The second eviction was unique in nature as contestants were granted liberty to make their own choice of songs they performed.

The freedom helped in improving performances since contestants chose songs which they were comfortable with.

Shanice Tandwe emerged the best performer of the night for her wonderful delivery of “I will always love you” song by Whitney Houston.

Her golden voice did not dissapoint the M-theatre audience and the judges.

Spicing up the show was veteran gospel artist Ethel Kamwendo.
