A 23 year old Malawian woman is battling for her life at Queen Elizabeth Central hospital after she was stabbed by her ex husband Lazarus Nangola on the stomach barely nine months after the two got divorced in Thyolo district.
According to information that Malawi24 has, the woman is identified as Rebecca Chaweza.
It is reported that Nangola went to his ex wife house were he demanded for his door but Chaweza told her ex husband to come the following day as it was already late.
This angered Nangola who later forced himself into the house by breaking the door only to find his ex wife with his new husband (Wizaman).
Upon noticing this Nangolo stabbed his ex wife on the stomach wife a knife leaving part of her intestines out.
As the new husband Wizaman tried to rescue his lover from the monster he also got his share by being stabbed on his hand and hand respectively.
The two were referred to Thyolo District Hospital where the woman was referred to Queen Elizabeth Hospital because she was in a bad condition.
Thyolo Police officers have since arrested Lazarus Nangola.

9months divorce? How long do people divorce after separation in Malawi? I guess they were separated but legally married pending divorce. If that is the case, the wife was committing adultery but she didn’t deserve stabbing, that could have been the basis for quick divorce. Get well soon.
