The Super League of Malawi (Sulom) vice president Daud Suleman has revealed that three bottom teams will still be relegated at the end of the season.

Dedza Young Soccer: Also in the danger zone.

This follows a meeting which the body had in Lilongwe last week where its executive committee resolved to increase Super League teams from the current 15 to 16.

Reports were indicating that only two teams would face the chop, with three teams from the lower leagues getting promoted.

But Suleman refuted the claims saying the laws are clear on the number of teams to be relegated.

“The laws are clear; three bottom teams will be relegated at the end of the season. It’s not true that we resolved to relegate only two teams, three will go and three will come in,” said the Sulom vice president.

Big Bullets have already won the 2015 Super League with four games to play but the relegation battle will be very interesting with Epac FC, Airborne Rangers, Mzuni FC, Dedza Young Soccer and Fisd Wizards all fighting for survival.
