Frozen chicken lands three in hands of police

Malawi Police in Blantyre Blantyre have arrested three Krazy Foods workers for allegedly stealing at the company’s warehouse.

The three, Manuel Banda, 21, Thomas Kingsley, 25, and Sindikani Justin, 28, broke into the warehouse and store 75 frozen chickens, a meat mixer machine and cash amount to K55,000.

Arrested.In an interview with Malawi24, Blantyre Police spokesperson Elizabeth Divala said the matter was reported by one of the workers of Krazy foods, Adam Masache.

“Our CID officers arrested Banda who revealed that he was with two security guards, Kingsley and Justin,” said Divala.

Divala further said police have managed to recover some of the frozen chickens and the meat mixer machine.

The suspects are yet to appear in court to answer charges of breaking into a building and committing felony therein which is contrary to section 311 of the Penal code.

Banda hails from William village, Tradition Authority (TA) Mphuka while Kingsley hails from Makombe village T.A Kampichi in Thyolo district. Justin comes from Malanga Village T.A Changata in Thyolo district.

  1. The offence that they are commited attracts 5yrs imprison wth hard labour, but due to ur mitigation, ths court sentecing both of u 3 yrs IHL but suspending sentence to 4 yrs
