With 2.8 million people in the country expected to face hunger this year, the Agricultural Development Corporation of Malawi (ADMARC) has assured Malawians that it has enough food to feed people in the country.
“We have 55 metric tonnes of maize of which 30 thousand tonnes was bought from Zambia whilst the other 25 thousand tonnes were accessed locally,” said spokesperson for ADMARC Agness Ndovi.
Ndovi added that the corporation has distributed maize to various depots throughout the country in order to maintain price.
“At the moment we are distributing maize in small market outlets of the country through our main markets,” she said.
Ndovi has since asked ADMARC staff to always alert the cooperation whenever maize is not available in their depots.

I would rather they starve a bit. They should know that stealing, corruption, overfishing, overpopulation, and all the other things malawians do have consicueses . Aziwe kuti mukaba ndalama, mukasiya sukulu muzavutika. Palibe atagawe chimanga. No country does that. Amalawi aphunzire kuganizila za kutsogolo, and know the consicueses of what they are doing on the present day.
