FAM officials led by competitions manager Gomezgani Zakazaka inspected the ground and concluded that the pitch is not in a playable condition.

“The facility is in dilapidated state in all aspects, from the playing ground up to the dressing rooms,” said Zakazaka.

The facility has two dressing rooms and one was turned into a gym arena hence the teams change on the ground or in their respective buses.

According to the ground manager for Zomba Community centre, the ground has not been watered since April this year after unpaid bills led to disconnection of water, the perimeter fence is not in good condition, and the pitch has developed holes which are very dangerous to players.
