Kadona Stars beat Baka City by a goal to nil at Karonga Stadium on Sunday to displace Chitipa United at the summit of Simso Innobuild.

A late goal from Mathews Mtalakwesi was enough to add more misery to Baka City who have lost three consecutive games.

“Coordination was a problem today especially between the midfield and the strikers, losing at home is painful, with this result we have put ourselves in a difficult position in the league” a visibly disappointed Baka coach Zungu said.

Coach for Kadona Stars Luka Milanzie was all smiles as he praised his players for a spirited performance to get four points.

“We planned to get six points so getting four points away is good to us all we have to do now is win all our final two games at home” said Milanzie.

The result means Kadona Stars have 20 points, two points above Chitipa United who had their results against Chintheche withheld while Baka City better known as the Clever Boys remain fifth with 15 points. In another game, Mayamiko Stars shared spoils with Chintheche. Sonda Saulos Moyo gave the home team the lead before a late equalizer from Thoko Kamanga.
