Nyasa Big Bullets have heaped praise on their strikers’ trainer, Heston Munthali as the architect behind the team’s recent free scoring form.

Bullets hired their former goal poacher towards the end of the Tnm Super league first round to help fix their misfiring problems.

And it has taken Munthali some few weeks to get the goals raining at will.

Last Saturday Bullets netted 4 past Blantyre United, the first time they have hit that figure this season.

That took their goal tally to 7 in just 2 matches as they also romped past Kamuzu Barracks 3-0 in their previous encounter.

Forwards Chiukepo Msowoya and Muhammad Sulumba have shared 5 of the 7 goals in between them.

That, according to the club’s general secretary Albert Chigoga, is all down to Munthali’s magic touch.

“We had noted that goals were hard to come by, that’s why we roped in Munthali to work with the boys. Now it’s paying off as the strikers have gotten their hunger and strike accuracy back.

“Msowoya scored twice against Kamuzu Barracks last week, this week it’s Sulumba with a brace. We believe there is more to come,” added Chigoga.

BB’s fine form in front of goal has been complimented by their resolute defence which has set a season record of 9 successive league outings without leaking a goal.

The last time a Bullets goalkeeper picked the ball from his own net in a league meeting was on 16 July in a 2 -1 loss away to Silver strikers.

The team has conceded just 6 goals in 20 league fixtures.

Meanwhile BB fans are hoping for more goals this Wednesday, when their team plays Dwangwa United in the preliminary round of the Fisd Challenge Cup at the Chitowe Stadium in Dwangwa.
