Holy Family Hospital authorities in Phalombe district have called on different stakeholders to assist the facility as the hospital lacks necessary resources.
According to Director of the Hospital Dr Patrick Chisepo, the facility is facing numerous challenges including lack of necessities like medicine, blankets, and food.
He added that sometimes children at the hospital sleep without blankets.
Meanwhile, Phalombe Presbytery through Migowi CCAP has donated some items to the hospital.
Speaking during the donation ceremony, moderator for Migowi CCAP Oscar Maliya said they thought it wise to assist the hospital with the little they have.
Maliya said: “As you know Holy Family is a mission hospital but it serves people from all different parts of Phalombe so we decided to come in and join hands together as the hospital is facing such challenges and it’s our obligation to assist as a church.”
