A United Kingdom (UK) non-governmental organization, Making a Difference with love (MaD love) Foundation, plans to help young people in Malawi by creating a platform that will expose their technical skills.

The development comes at a time when Malawi government has established technical colleges to make sure youths in the country have technical skills.

MaD love foundation has partnered Center for Children Affairs in order to establish incubation centres that will help local youth to have a chance to hone their technical skills.

Speaking in an interview with Malawi24, Center for Children Affairs national coordinator Moses Devlin Busher said the project will help Malawi youth to be entrepreneurs.

“Basically the foundation use love to make a difference, so they are coming with their love to make a difference for Malawi youth.

“We are to have an incubation centre in Chikhwawa district, where youths are to have opportunities of taking their skills as jobs that can make them earn a living, we will try as much as possible to change the mindset of our youths because most of them think of white collar jobs and that’s where the problem of unemployment is coming in and this is delaying youth empowerment,” said Busher.

Busher further advised Malawi youths to take away pride when it comes to the issue developing a country.

“Most of them say they are graduates they can’t work in gardens while they have that potential of working in garden better, I think its high time we need to stop crying for an office and laptops so that we can be on the social networks,” he said.

Busher added that the project will make its way to other regions of the country where youths are to reap fruits and help the country in contributing to the economic growth.

MaD love foundation was established to help young people discover, develop, and deploy their leadership edge in fulfilling their purpose in life.
