Fisd Wizards on Sunday afternoon came from behind to draw 2-2 against Malawi capital city giants Silver Strikers at Kalulu stadium in Chikhwawa.

The match started on a higher intensity as both Fisd Wizards and Silver Strikers were in search of an early opener in the opening minutes of the first half.

But it was Silver Strikers who through Sam Gunde’s strike scored first in the 5th minute of the game.

After that goal Peter Mponda’s Wizards started pressing for an equalizer and it came in the 18th minute of the first half through a penalty. Benard Chimaimba stepped up for the challenge and made no mistake but to put the ball onto the back of the net to make it 1-1.

Fisd Wizards started again dominating possession as they were in search of their second goal of the game but Silver Strikers were solid in their defense.

The bankers’ hit man Peter Wadabwa scored another goal in the 26 minute of the first half to make it Fisd Wizards 1-2 Silver strikers.

After that goal the Peter Mponda’s boys started playing some excellent passing football as Chimaimba, Hendrix Masinde, Levison Maganizo all combined well and had a couple of chances to level the scoreline.

The first half ended 2-1 in favour of the bankers. Come second half both sides came in knowing that any slate mistake will cost them the much needed 3 points.

After 5 minutes in the second half Fisd Wizards started controlling the game and exerted so much pressure on the bankers.

As the match was going to an end, Fisd Wizards through Isaac Mwale scored their second goal of the match to make it 2-2.

Both Silver Strikers and Fisd Wizards could have find their winning goal in the dying minutes of the second half but they all kept missing the target and the match ended 2-2.

After the game Fisd Wizards coach Mc Donald Yobe thanked his boys for showing a fighting spirit that has helped them to correct a point.
